- Development of critical systems in the healthcare sector: You will develop highly available Python services for the emergency services and the healthcare sector. Your software will support operational processes where reliability, performance and data integrity are crucial.
- Architecture & integration of complex system landscapes: You will design service-oriented architectures and develop robust interfaces between distributed systems – from internal platforms to external partners such as control centres or third-party APIs (REST, gRPC, messaging).
- Quality as a standard, not a goal: You actively establish and drive forward automated testing (unit, integration, E2E) as well as clean CI/CD pipelines. For you, code quality, maintainability and observability are an integral part of development – not an afterthought.
- Technical responsibility & decision-making: You make well-founded architectural decisions, evaluate technologies and act as a sparring partner for product owners and stakeholders on technical issues.
- Mentoring & Team Excellence: You support your team through code reviews, knowledge sharing and mentoring. In doing so, you actively help to establish a high technical standard and sustainable development practices.
- Further development of existing systems: You critically analyse existing solutions and develop them further iteratively – with a focus on scalability, operational reliability and future requirements within the healthcare context.

Your mission
Skills
- Qualifications: A degree in Computer Science, an apprenticeship as an IT specialist, or a comparable qualification.
- Experience & understanding of architecture: Several years’ experience with Python, as well as in the design and operation of distributed systems. You can design system architectures, justify technical decisions and carefully weigh up trade-offs (e.g. consistency vs. availability).
- APIs & System Integration: You develop and operate stable, versioned APIs (REST, optionally gRPC) and reliably integrate external systems. Topics such as interface design, error handling and backwards compatibility are second nature to you.
- Frameworks & Tooling: You are confident in using common Python frameworks (e.g. FastAPI, Django, Flask), containerisation (Docker) and modern Git workflows.
- Software Engineering & Quality: You work according to established principles (Clean Code, SOLID, design patterns) and make targeted use of automated tests to ensure systems remain maintainable in the long term.
- Working Style: You maintain a clear overview even in complex, distributed systems and tackle technical challenges in a structured manner – from analysis through to a sustainable solution.
- Collaboration & Responsibility: You communicate clearly, take responsibility for your solutions and actively support the further development of your team.
